Introduction
of Happy Adventure Treks and Expedition: |
Happy
Adventure Trekking was established by three young enthusiastic
entrepreneurs in the Year 1993. These three founder directors
namely Mr. Raju Adhikary, Min Panta and Sonam Sherpa set out
together to put their expertise in the field of Trekking.
Happy Adventure Trekking initially started with a total strength
of 15 staff. Now in 1999 the company employs 60 staff who
are all permanent. Happy Adventure is fully approved and license
holder under Ministry of Tourism, His Majesty’s Government
of Nepal.
The company is fully equipped with all trekking cum climbing
equipment's. All possible communication facilities such as
fax , e-mail ,internet , ISD, facilities are available within
the company . The company uses it own vehicles for transportation
that avoids nuisance and harassment of long waiting hours.
Since the company is a license holder of His Majesty 's Government,
for rescue operation during emergencies, the company can immediately
avail a helicopter, whether be it a military or a privately
owned .If a client is fully insured the company is capable
of releasing a helicopter without taking any deposit. As operations
are the Key factor to a successful trekking agency every effort
has been given for the efficient and smooth operations. Thrice
a year meetings are held among the staff and management to
review the over all activities and areas of improvement. During
the busy course of time inflation, which is now, growing rapidly
may sometimes not be in the knowledge of the management at
a given particular time.
In this situation the management is immediately apprised of
and accordingly wages and remuneration of porters, trekking
guide, cook and helpers are raised so that there would be
no hindrance to the operational side .The staff are fully
insured for high altitude climbing. Porters are also provided
clothing annually, which facilitates them as equal to trekking
guide.
Interested clients wanting to come to Nepal who need information
can do so from their respective countries with our liaison
offices at different countries. And for more information you

Since the income of a trekking agency entirely depends on
the nations various mountain and peaks the company also contributes
towards preservation, cleaning and social activities. Effective
from last year the company has contributed to the nations
natural calamities and other need full activities.A certain
percentage of the income has been allocated for these relief
funds contributed by the management, staff and also clients
of our company.
During off-seasons the company contributes towards cleaning
of various trekking routes. Also during off seasons the management
spends time and energy to explore new routes which are easily
accessible from Katmandu .The finding of these new routes
has benefited the people of these remote areas as they have
started earning regular income and tourists have been benefited
too by these routes where movement is quite less and can enjoy
complete freedom .The contribution made by company to find
new routes are Kalinchok, Sailung & Panch pokhari.
The company during season time is open seven days a week with
long working hours late in the evening. This helps immensely
during emergencies or any problems raised during the trek
of even for a tourist wanting to get information at his convenient
time .The company has made a policy of permanently staying
at the office building for a period of twenty years.
Starting with Asia now towards the end of 1998 economic recession
and economic problems have been affected all over the world
.On the other hand the desire and demand of tourists wanting
to still travel is also very strong .In this prevailing crisis
the company has put all its attention towards this grave problem
.To solve this problem the company provides very practical
and competitive price much lower than rates applied by other
trekking companies the basic reason being the company posses
all the necessary equipment , gazets and infrastructure completely
of its own.
The company is basically a trekking and expedition company,
but from the experience of the past for quite some time the
company is capable of providing any kind of services related
to tourism, be it jungle safari, rafting, travel, or air ticket
to any destination of the world. These services have been
provided in view of client's convenience so as the hassle
and time wasted be saved. |
Short backgrounds
of these three founder directors are stated below: |
Mr. Min
Panta, Managing Director – Mr Panta is in charge of the over
all activities. He specialiese in the trekking routes that
are in the restricted areas, with a sound experience of 14
years.
Mr. Raju Adhikari, Director Administration – He has a comfortable
experience of 11 Years in the field of Trekking. He specializes
in the administrative section.
Mr. Sonam Sherpa, Director Operations – Mr. Sherpa is fully
exposed to almost all the regions and routes in Nepal. He
also possesses expert knowledge in climbing. He has also experienced
the difficult and most difficult trails. He has an experience
of 14 years in the field of Trekking.
M/S Susanne Kuhnel, Founder Member – Has been promoting Happy
Adventure. Happy Adventure was named by her. She has a contribution
towards the promotion of the company. The company at its present
situtation is largely due to her contribution. She has experienced
all the trekking routes of Nepal and therefore is a pride
to the company.
M/S Brigit H. Group Leader – She knows all trekking routes
in Nepal. A well wisher of the company. She comes to Nepal
five times a year bringing groups. |

About the Staff
and their experiences: |
The company
only hires license holder trekking guides, trained from the
institute run by His Majesty 's Government. The management
and staff also have knowledge of various other languages apart
from English such as Japanese, German, French and Italian.
